Dr. Johns graduated from Lehigh University and the Philadelphia College Of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency at ChristianaCare in Newark, Delaware. He then completed a Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.
Dr. Johns is interested in minimally invasive surgery, including advanced laparoscopic and robotic techniques, to care for patients with diseases and problems of the colon, rectum and anus. His philosophy of care is to treat patients how he would like to be treated, carefully listening to their problems/concerns and making sure to explain procedures, treatment options, and alternatives in easy-to-understand ways.
He is board-certified in General Surgery and board-eligible in Colon and Rectal Surgery, and a member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.
